Ahoy

I so this card took a bit longer than most but I love the finished effect and that you can make the card and add a photo later when you decide who to send it to.
Another card for a man, i'm on a roll .
One of my favourites so far this year x

Classy Lady

This very busy rose paper was really hard to use. In hindsight I should have added another piece of white card stock in the background but I am still pleased with the overall effect.

This is my great grandmother looking as classy as always.

And the detail

So much hidden detail in this layout. Hope you like it as much as I do. Xx

Butterfly card

I found The best way to make this card is to take a selection of papers from a colour coordinated paper pad.
I was given the idea from a birthday card given to me last year from a friend.
The butterfly is awesome x

My name is Julie Wilson and I run a club called Ladies That Craft. I have been on the DoCraft Design Team for 6 months now and I am having a great time. You can find loads of fantastic ideas by visiting the DoCrafts website and while you're there take a look at their fantastic sale and grab a bargain.

Here's today's blog post from me........

I really enjoy working with bright colours and I love a challenge so when everyone asked for a boy layout I saw these papers and thought "why not"

I needed to add some stamping so I went for Barbara Grays "Wee Folk" stamps and the words " What, When and Why from a tiny little set of stamps I got years ago.

And some of the detail

Now make a cuppa and follow the links to all of my fellow DoCraft Design Team friends.

A little birdie told me.

I fell in love with this brilliant 12 x 12 paper pad from Creative Expressions however I found them a bit to "rosy" so I decided to add my own flowers to add a bit of whimsy.

And some of the detail

Am loving the lace and the little gem droplets. More tomorrow. X

Do you like spiders.

I saw these little spiders on a scrapbook layout and thought they'd make a great card. A bit of fun

And a look at the little fella close up
More tomorrow xx

Colour a stamped topper

In any colour to make the perfect thank you card.

The trick is to match one of the background papers to one of the floral elements on the topper.

I'm a bit addicted to the border stamps at the minute. I'm sure I'll get over it soon lol.

And some detail of the greeting

Third card tomorrow xxx

Monday 8 June 2015

Yellow is always bright and cheerful

That's why it's always the perfect colour for a Birthday Card.

Here is the first of the three cards from one of the card classes held in May.

The yellow shows off the embossing really well.

Here is a closer shot.
Another one tomorrow xx

Thursday 4 June 2015

By the sea

So layout two designed to show off those photos by the sea, or in this case, photos taken near the docks whilst tasting all sorts of scrummy food at a food fair lol.

I enjoyed cutting and colouring the die cuts (anchor, fish, glass and lemon)
Here's some more detail

Cards tomorrow, promise xx

Tuesday 2 June 2015

I know I said cards next but....

I have already taken these photos of the last Scrapbook class layouts and I need a bit of sun especially today when it's so miserable outside.

This layout was made using hand cut paper pieces and is great for using up any scraps you might have at home.

Now I agree it was time consuming but well worth it I think. It reminds me of the colourful houses you see on holiday (might use these in a mini book of my holiday as well)

Here's a bit of detail

The sand was made using texture paste and micro beads.

Second layout coming soon xx
